HAZET was established in 1868 by Hermann Zerver. The brand name “HAZET” has its roots in the initials of its founder, where the “H” (HA in German) stands for Hermann and the “Z” (ZET in German) for Zerver.
HAZET is now a fifth generation family business.
The original HAZET-Werk in Remscheid-Vieringhausen. Read more about the history on Facebook.
The plant 1 in Remscheid is one of the most advanced in Europe. From the forged to the CNC-controlled production, the most advanced technology paired with solid professional experience accompanies the production process.
The plant 2 Heinsberg, a company designed according to the latest technical findings, is situated in the border triangle between Germany, Belgium and Holland with good transport connections (an hour away from Remscheid by car). With regard to the European market, the spaciously laid out logistics centre is located there.
The Remscheid-based HAZET plant 3 contains one of the most modern computer-operated powder systems in Germany. A welding robot, a fully automatic laser cutting system and a punching and bending centre ensure future top performances in sheet metal forming. In addition to the diverse sheet metal forming methods, the well-known “Assistent” tool trolleys are also made here.
Torque technology has found its home at the HAZET plant 4 in Remscheid-Vieringhausen. The high-precision torque wrenches are made, mounted and calibrated there.
Development and design
Highly qualified engineers develop and design tools and production aids using the latest CAD computers and “high-end software”. The generated data is used in various ways, e.g. for sample production in the shortest possible time or for communicating with our customers and suppliers via data exchange. Applications of tools are simulated in virtual environments or NC data generated for machine tools, which then enable a 100% reproducible production of the dies. This ensures a consistently high quality standard.
Tool and die making
Use of the latest technology in HAZET's own tool and die making. Milling data is transferred directly via a CAD/CAM interface to a high-speed milling unit (HSC), which then mills the forged contours for new dies into the hard die with high precision with up to 42,000 spindle revolutions/min.
The accurately produced dies are implemented on short-stroke hydraulic forging hammers. Experienced forgers lay the foundations of HAZET quality tools from a “simple” piece of steel.
CNC processing machines
From the simplest of drilling machines through to fully-automated CNC drilling and milling centres, HAZET implements metal-removing processes of all types in a complex machine park.
The final touch is given to each tool in an environmentally-friendly galvanic chrome-nickel coating plant. This doesn't just make them look good, but also gives the HAZET quality tools lasting protection against corrosion.
Sheet metal forming
The constantly changing product variety is managed using a cutting-edge laser cutting system as well as a punching and bending centre. Fully automatic welding robots are used for producing high lot sizes.
In a state-of-the-art powder coating centre, all RAL colour tones can be efficiently applied to the products, even in small lot sizes. The products are coated almost waste-free even in the shortest of tooling times – this protects our environment.
Integrated inventory management systems combined with the latest technology in the logistics sector, e.g. DP-supported, fully automatic conveyor belts, packing stations and two “commissioners” (buffer warehouses) ensure fast dispatchment of the HAZET quality products to our customers in the quickest possible time.
