New, innovative torque screwdrivers for bits receive award

For the third time – following 2016 and 2018 – HAZET has once again been honoured with the prestigious “Eisen Innovation Award 2024” at the International Hardware Fair in Cologne. This time, the jury was impressed by the new, innovative torque screwdrivers for bits from the SYSTEM 6004CT and 6005CT ranges, with their high functionality, precision and accuracy, with a torque range of 0.02 Nm to 10 Nm and a tolerance of ±6 per cent of the set value.

Screw connections often have to withstand continuous loads over long periods without the screws coming loose or uneven tightening torques leading to stresses in the material. For precise and sustainable work, torque-controlled screw connections are therefore essential and are often also required to ensure specific functions.

For these professional and high-precision tasks, HAZET has developed the perfect solutions in the form of its torque screwdrivers with a ¼″ bit holder: the 6004CT series in a straight design and the 6005CT series with a T-handle. Both the development and production take place ‘Made in Germany’ in Remscheid by HAZET.

Features

The new HAZET torque screwdriver series cover a torque range from 0.02 Nm to 10 Nm and feature a tolerance of ±6% of the set value.

The torque setting is extremely easy to read thanks to a large and clear ‘digital’ numeric display – currently unique on the market for mechanical torque screwdrivers.

The free-wheel mechanism – unique to torque screwdrivers – allows the user to re-grip the tool without any backlash, which is particularly practical when loosening and tightening screw connections, especially in confined installation spaces. The “ratchet function”, which can be switched between clockwise, anti-clockwise and locked, ensures comfortable handling. This eliminates the need for re-gripping during the tightening process.

The ergonomic 36° close-gap release produces a clearly perceptible tactile and audible signal when the screw connection is tightened to the set torque. The overload clutch (‘slipper’) prevents the set torque from being exceeded.

The convenient ¼″ inside hexagon bit holder secures the screwdriver bits firmly via its quick-release mechanism without the need to re-commission the sleeve. The bit is removed by simply pulling the sleeve back, thus ensuring a quick and practical bit change.

The optimum ergonomics are also reflected in the 2-component handles of the torque screwdrivers, which are made of fibre-glass reinforced plastic and feature softer grip zones. These enable sustained, powerful yet fatigue-free working.

The torque screwdrivers are available with two different handle designs: firstly, the straight design for torque screwdrivers with a torque range of 2–30 cNm and 0.2–1.2 Nm. The other is a T-handle for torque ranges of 1–6 and 4–10 Nm. Thanks to their straight, slim and compact design, the 6004CT series torque screwdrivers are particularly well suited to working in confined installation spaces. The torque screwdrivers in the 6005CT series, on the other hand, offer particularly good force assistance at higher torques thanks to their T-handle, making them easy to use.

With these new torque screwdrivers, HAZET is setting new standards in the areas of ergonomic design, functionality and precision. Particularly noteworthy are the excellent readability of the digital display and the free-running mechanism, which is unique for torque screwdrivers. Developed and manufactured ‘Made in Germany’, they stand for durability, precision and comfortable handling in a wide variety of working environments.
